GSSP Enterprise, Inc., recent winner of a 1.4 million dollar contract to transport bodies for the City of Chicago, swapped the remains of two women, resulting in the burial of a stranger by one of the families involved. The Daily Southtown has the story.* No doubt you will be shocked and amazed to learn that there are a number of unanswered questions about the contractor. GSSP Enterprise, Inc. is unavailable for comment. (Phone number according to the contract is disconnected, no listing in the phone book, no website, no nuttin', honey.) Previously, the unpleasant task of transporting remains fell to the Chicago Police (God bless every one of 'em) until this new contractor took over under a "pilot program".
*UPDATE: The Daily Southtown link is dead. CBS 2 News still has the story here, and here. A brief updated post is here.
