Rally to Protest Threats Against Israel - Palin Will Attend, Clinton Pulls Out

Jerusalem Post:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at an anti-Iran rally in New York next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.

Several American Jewish groups have planned a major rally outside the United Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's threats against Israel and his planned speech on the floor of the UN later in the week.
Those "several American Jewish groups" include the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (whose 51 member organizations include the Anti-Defamation League and the Central Conference of American Rabbis), United Jewish Communities, Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, and the National Coalition to Stop Iran Now. The rally is not only a protest against Ahmadinejad's genocidal threats, but also his abuse of human rights and his support of international terrorism.

As of this morning, the Conference of Presidents website information on the rally still says "join national leaders including Sen. Hillary Clinton and Republican vice-presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin". But according to JP, Hillary won't be there - because Gov. Sarah Palin has agreed to attend.
Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Clinton and Palin appear when informed by reporters.

"Her attendance was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event," said Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines. "Sen. Clinton will therefore not be attending."
So, we cannot unite in protest against this maniacal snake, who blatantly abuses human rights, threatens genocidal attacks against Jews and Americans, supports international terrorism and its carnage. The reason? Because the presence of an opposing candidate makes it a "partisan political event".

There are so many things one could say, but that one statement truly says it all.
