Kofi Annan's made some dire predictions earlier this year of “mass starvation, mass migration, and mass sickness” if the world doesn't board the global-warming bandwagon. (No fear-mongering hyperbole was intended there, I'm sure.) But:
A funny thing happened on the way to saving the world’s poor from the ravages of global warming. The poor told the warming alarmists to get lost.Among other good things, it seems more American-style economic freedom coincides with increased life expectancy in poor countries. And as it turns out, the poor like living. Who knew?
