Republican State Senator Kirk Dillard is Considering Run For Governor

WGIL Galesburg:

"Republican State Senator Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale) is considering a run. He's planning to meet with people from all over the state during the next three weeks and make a final decision soon afterward. He says he can raise the money, attract independent voters, and provide the 'adult supervision' he says has been lacking in state government under the Democrats."
That would be novel, but this campaign ad at Illinois Review makes me wonder. There is a short bio, and Dillard's "letter to colleagues" at Fox Chicago. Other possibles include House Republican leader Tom Cross and DuPage County States Attorney Joe Birkett. State Senator Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) has already declared.
